If I were Mayor of Toccoa, I would set up a natural disaster emergency plan for Toccoa. A disaster could be a drought. A drought is a lack of rain for a long period of time. We need to figure out a system for keeping water in our area. We all need water to drink, wash, cook, clean, and give to the animals. Some of the things we could do are drill deeper wells, build some water storage tanks, teach people to conserve and recycle water so they do not waste it. You can also ask scientists to invent new ways to produce water. If we have a drought we could have a country wide prayer for rain. We could also ship big blocks of ice from the north down here and let it melt. We could ask scientists to try and make clouds above the drought area to make it rain.

Lots of businesses are closing down in Toccoa and people have been losing their jobs. I would like to figure out a way to bring in new jobs to Toccoa. We could talk to other businesses to try to bring them to Toccoa. We could pass a law that people can only buy things made in the United States so American businesses will not have to shut down and people can take care of themselves. We need to have a place available for people who are hungry to get something to eat and a place to stay if they don't have a job. It says in the Bible to take care of the poor and hungry.

Another thing we need to deal with is littering. We really need to fix littering. Have you driven down the road and looked at all the trash. When we go fishing there is trash everywhere and it looks ugly. We need to take volunteers to help clean up or get prisoners to pick up trash. We need to put up cameras to catch people throwing out trash. What will make them quit? We need to figure it out.
