RE: Ida Cox Music Series Presents Better Than Better Than Ezra
TOCCOA, GA, July 17, 2023– Due to unforeseen circumstances, the scheduled act for this week’s Ida Cox Music Series has been changed. Athens, Georgia band “Better Than Better Than Ezra” will be the headliner this Saturday, July 22, 2023.
“We were very much looking forward to hosting 80’s act Green Eggs and Pam at Ida Cox, however, due to the tragic and sudden loss of their guitar player, they have cancelled all shows. We were lucky to find a replacement band quickly as Better Than Better Than Ezra had an opening for the same date. They have a great setlist including 90’s country and soft rock from Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, and Travis Tritt, to Hootie and the Blowfish, Matchbox 20,
Sister Hazel and Gin Blossoms,” said Misty Richardson, Special Events Coordinator for the City of Toccoa.
Opening for BTBTE will be local artist, Jim Harper. Music starts at 7pm.
The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, the show will be relocated to The Historic Ritz Theatre.

July 29 – Scott Low and The Southern Bouillon (Opening Act – Klassic Duo)
August 5 – Brass Animals (Opening Act – Matt Sexton)
August 12 – Randall Bramblett Band (Opening Act – Jimmy Scott)
August 19 – The Wobblers (Opening Act – Rock N Earl)
August 26 - Milkshake Mayfield
The Ida Cox Music Series, named after famed Toccoan Blues musician, Ida Cox, features free music in Downtown Toccoa every Saturday in June, July, and August. The music starts at 7:00 pm and the series lasts until approximately 10:00 pm each Saturday night. Bring a lawn chair to Downtown Toccoa and enjoy live music, food, and drink in a relaxing atmosphere.
