Boards and Commissions

Serving on a City of Toccoa board or commission is one way Toccoa residents can volunteer and get involved with their city government. Boards and commissions serve mostly in an advisory capacity to various city departments. Some also hear appeals, provide expertise, advocate and receive public concerns. Others may establish, review and enforce policies and regulations. Boards and commission appointments are approved by City Commissioners after recommendations from city departments and commissioners.

Links to active boards, committees and commissions are provided in the navigation column at left. To learn more about a board or commission, just click on the link for the particular board or commission. There you will find additional vacancy and contact information.

The City of Toccoa is committed to promoting diversity in the city's boards and commissions. Women, disabled residents, sexual and gender minorities, young persons, senior citizens, persons of color and immigrants are encouraged to apply.
