Phase One of renovation of Toccoa City Hall
This is an invitation for bids for repainting of exterior areas of Toccoa City Hall located at 92 N Alexander Street. The City Commission reserves the right to reject any bid that in its sole discretion does not meet the objectives of the City of Toccoa.
Bids must be sealed and submitted to the City of Toccoa in care of City Manager, Fredda Wheeler on or before 10 o’clock a.m. on the 9th day of April 2024. Bids will be open at that time in the City Managers Conference Room on the 2 nd floor of City Hall.
Special notice should be given to the fact the City Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid based on overall value due to the subjective nature of variables when comparing bids for work. All work must begin with 15 days of bid award and be completed within 45 days. Any
extension of time line must be approved by City Manager.
The following are the minimum specifications to be considered for renovation work:
Must have a Current City of Toccoa Business License.
Work to be performed will be various items on exterior of building and parking deck. Work listed to
be viewed must be by appointment with Public Works Director, Randy Smith.

THE CITY OF TOCCOA RESERVES THE RIGHT, WITH OR WITH OUT NOTICE OR CAUSE, TO ACCEPT ANY BID REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT THEREOF, TO WAIVE ANY INFORMALITY OR IRREGULARITY NOT AFFECTED BY LAW; TO REJECT ANY BID, ANY NUMBER OF BIDS OR ALL BIDS; TO NEGOTIATE WITH ANY BIDDER FOR A REDUCTION OR ALTERATIONS IN BID; TO WAIVE OR INSIST UPON FORMAL REQUIREMENTS; TO REJECT ALL BIDS AND TO CALL FOR ADDITIONAL BIDS UPON THE SAME OR DIFFERENT INVITATION TO BID; TO BE THE SOLE JUDGE, IN ITS DISCRETION, OF ALL QUESTIONS AS TO WHETHER OR NOT A BID COMPLIES WITH THE INVITATION TO BID; AND AS TO THE QUALIFICATIONS OF A BIDDER.
Description of Work
PAINTING
1. All handrails, entrance and exit clearance post, three exterior doors, and light poles are to be stripped by whatever means necessary and repainted with two coats of primer and two coats of paint.
2. All wood framed windows must be completely stripped of all paints and glazing, then re-glaze and repainted.
3. Strip and repaint front entry door casing.
4. Repaint all levels of the parking deck.
NOTE: All paint colors will be chosen as needed, the City will provide the paint for project for contractor to pick up at The Sherwin Williams of downtown Toccoa.
