Gas Rates

The following page details information regarding gas rates and various fees for the City of Toccoa. These numbers are effective as of January 2019. The City of Toccoa strives to provide the most up-to-date information possible. Please call us at 706.886.8451 for any additional questions. The use of natural gas is based on service area availability. 

Deposits:

  • Residential Gas Deposit: $150
  • Commercial Gas Deposit: $450
  • Industrial Gas Deposit: $750

Tap Fees:

  • Natural Gas Tap Fee: $250 (includes 250 feet of service line and meter installation)
  • Additional Footage of Service Line at $1 per foot

Charges:

  • Monthly Base Charge: $11 plus tax (currently 7%) for a total of $11.77 monthly
  • Monthly Usage per Unit (billed in CCF hundred cubic feet) - Adjusted monthly ($1.23 currently)
  • Commercial/Industrial/Interruptable customers should contact the Utilities Department at 706.282.3311

Fees and Penalties:

  • Returned Check Charge: $30
  • Delinquent Penalty/Water (one day after due date): 10%
  • Delinquent Penalty/Gas (one day after due date): 1%
  • Delinquent Penalty/One Utility Only (15 days from due date): $25
  • Delinquent Penalty/Both Water & Gas (15 days from due date): $50
  • After Hours Connection/One Utility Only: $50
  • After Hours Connection/Both Water & Gas: $100

Please note: For gas base and per unit fees, prices vary and depend upon differing regulations in Georgia and North Carolina.
